Andrew Cutler
Andrew Cutler (he/him) is the Artistic Producer and a co-founder of First Floor Theater. As Artistic Producer, Andrew helped create FFT’s last eight productions, most recently the Chicago premiere of WORK HARD HAVE FUN MAKE HISTORY. He created and currently produces the Blueprint Commission, through which First Floor has commissioned the playwrights Ariel Zetina, Omer Abbas Salem, Gloria Imseih Petrelli, Brynne Frauenhoffer and Netta Walker. In 2019, he was named one of the Fifty People Who Really Perform for Chicago for his work with FFT. Elsewhere, Andrew is the Executive Director and an Instructor at Black Box Acting Studio, has been a Lecturer for the Committee on Theater and Performance Studies at the University of Chicago, has been a guest artist at the Harry L. Davis Center for leadership at University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and is a volunteer and an organizer at the Northwestside Solidarity Network. As an actor, he appeared in many productions at FFT, as well as in productions at other theaters including Actors Theatre of Louisville, A Red Orchid Theatre, and The Sound.
